Never allow yourself to become so involved in your job with evening rehearsals, weekend performances, and other activities that you forget about your own family. Above all, resolve to never skip a family event or your own child's performance because of a work related commitment. Don't even try to balance the two things. Your family comes first, otherwise ten years from now you will regret missing your daughter's first dance recital or your son's big ball game. Those are the things that are truly important in your life.
